MEG-3® is enabled by kd-pür® purification, pioneering supercritical chromatography, and advanced distillation techniques.
We gently process raw marine oils through a multi-step distillation and purification technology process named kd-pür® that avoids contact with high-temperatures or the use of harmful solvents. Molecular and fractional distillation separate Omega-3s from non-Omega fats to increase concentration to over 75%. Our heritage as an industry pioneer in the use of Supercritical CO2 Chromatography for separation of EPA and DHA coupled with the innovative extraction methods developed by our brilliant chemists and process engineers allow KD Nutra® to provide Omega-3 EPA/DHA content up to 99% in our ingredients. They are treated with natural clay and carbon absorbents to ensure ultra-low levels of impurities. Concentrates are deodorized to remove unwanted flavors and odors and finally protected against potential oxidation with non-GMO natural mixed tocopherols (vitamin E).
